A dual-based coaching practice, built around one conversation at a time.
Eiffel — Your English Connection is a 1:1 English conversation coaching practice, with roots in South Africa and Korea, founded by Pieter H C Reyneke. Nearly twenty years of TESOL experience sit behind it, including corporate training for Hyundai and Kia, work with senior executives at leading Korean chaebols, and twelve years on the faculty of Soonchunhyang University, where he is now Emeritus Associate Professor.
Fluency is not more words. It is the conversation you already rehearsed.
Three things every lesson is built on.
The format is the same whether the session is for a job interview, a trip, or a child’s first English conversation class.
Real conversation, not rote memorisation
Lessons develop the vocabulary, structure, and confidence needed for an actual exchange — not a script recited from memory.
One-to-one, built around you
Every live session is 1:1. The material, pace, and focus are set by what one specific student needs, not a fixed syllabus.
Prepared, practised, then followed up
Students prepare with written material and video beforehand, we work through it live on Zoom, and a written summary follows within 48 hours — so the lesson doesn’t end when the call does.
Five ways to work with this practice.
Every offering shares the same 1:1, weekend-delivered format. Where to start depends on what you’re working toward.

Someone who has done the arriving, not just the teaching.
Pieter has spent nearly two decades coaching English in Korea — senior executives and managers at leading Korean chaebols, corporate training for Hyundai and Kia, and twelve years on the faculty of Soonchunhyang University, where he is now Emeritus Associate Professor. He is a South African living and working in Korea, so the experience of communicating in a language that is not your own is not theoretical.
Every lesson is built around real conversation rather than a script, whether the student is preparing for an interview, a trip, a workplace discussion, or their first English class as a child.
A written policy, not an assumption.
Every session with a child follows a written child protection and safeguarding policy.
This covers how sessions are conducted, who else may be present, and how any concern is handled — set out in writing before a lesson is booked, not decided case by case.
The practical questions.
How do I start?
Fill in the Fluency Fit Check. Tell me what you want to work on, and I will recommend a class type and follow up with price and details.
Which class type is right for me?
That is what the Fit Check is for. You don’t need to decide alone — the answers guide the recommendation.
Are lessons live, or self-paced?
Both, depending on the course. Live 1:1 coaching runs on Zoom, and some courses also include self-paced material to prepare with beforehand.
When do lessons run?
Saturdays and Sundays, 10:00 to 15:00, Korea time. This is a fixed weekly window rather than an on-demand booking system.
Do you teach children?
Yes — two dedicated offerings, split by school stage rather than ability, each with the same safeguarding policy applied.
Start with a few questions, not a booking form.
The Fluency Fit Check takes a few minutes, costs nothing, and carries no obligation. It’s how every class type on this site begins.
